1)  Can I purchase multiple Groupons?

Yes, you can purchase as many groupons as you wish but can only use one Groupon per opening.

2)  I lost my groupon what do I do?

You can log onto your groupon account at www.groupon.com to find and re-print your groupon.  Your groupon certificate needs to be presented to our installer before any work is started.

3)  Is this an installed product?  Can I install myself?

Yes, this price does include installation, and no you may not install it yourself.  In order for the tracking to work properly, we need to cut within an 1/8th of an inch.  This needs to be done by one of our professional installers.

4)  Are evening or weekend installation appointments available?

Yes.  We offer late afternoon / evening appointments as well as Saturdays.

5)  How long does it take to get the product installed?

Are usual lead time is 2-4 weeks, but depending on the response to the groupon ad this may increase.  Once on site, the average job takes 1 hour per opening.

6)  I have an outswinging door, is it possible to install a retractable screen door on my opening?

Yes.  In this case the retractable screen door will be installed on the interior of your home.

7)  Is this product able to be installed on a slider?

Yes.  On a slider, we only need to cover the opening area of the door.  When taking your measurement, only measure the open area of the slider and do not include the stationary side.

8)  I have a double door and we only use one side, do I have to cover both doors?

Yes.  To create a complete seal that will keep bugs out both doors must be covered.  There are no exceptions to this.

9)  My double french door is small, can a single retractable screen door cover both doors?

Yes, in most cases, as long as your opening is no wider than 60" or taller than 84".

10)  On my double door, can I leave the side over my stationary door locked in place?

Yes.  A french door kit is supplied with all double door installations.  This allows you to temporarilly lock your unit half way accross covering your stationary door.  With this feature in use, you can go in and out of your main door with easier access as if it is a single door.  There is nothing permanent in the center of your opening.

11)  Do you offer custom colors other than the 7 listed on the order page?

We do offer custom colors, but there is an increase in price.  Depending on the style and color you order the increase is from $100 - $200 more per unit (double for a double door).  If this is something you are interested in please call 888-373-0260 for a quote.

12)  Do you offer speed reducers?

Yes, we do offer speed reducers as an option, but highly recommend them with no speed reducer.  The speed reducer in theory sounds like a great idea, but in actuallity increases the chance you will need a rescreen.  The speed reducer counteracts the spring trying to pull the unit back.  If your unit is not perfectly maintained at all times, or you hold the pull bar as your screen retracts (the way most people use the screen) your screen will fold and over time start to frey.  We used to sell a brand that came only with a speed reducer, and to this day still service more of those screens even though we haven't sold one in 7 years.  I have a 2 & 4 year old and have no speed reducers on the 4 screens I have in my house.  If you absolutely want one after you place your order email us and we will add it to your screen.  There will be an additional $10 due at install.

13)  What happens if our screen rips and needs to be replaced?

All of our screens have an extra 10" of screen mesh inside the housing unit.  This allows the screen some give so it does not rip right away if someone runs into it.  If someone hits it hard enough and it does rip we can replace it on site for $95.  We have over 10,000 installed and only rescreen 1-2 a week so it is a very low number.

14)  What is maintenance on my screen?

Maintenance is very simple.  All you need to do is spray the top track and bottom track with a Silicone Spray (available at any hardware store) once a month.  This takes less than a minute to do.

15)  What is the warranty on the Retractable Screen Door?

We offer a lifetime warranty on all working compenents.  This covers springs, magnets and track rails.  The only thing not under warranty is the screen itself as we have no control over its use.
